Orange County Transporter Organization presents "O.C.T.O. Winter Meet 2012". This is a swap and display meet, for 1967 and earlier buses only, held at Long Beach Veteran's Memorial Stadium, Long Beach, CA. Til 1967 VW type IIs get preferred swap and display spaces which will be on a "First come - First served basis". There will be raffle prizes at the main booth. Refreshment services will be provided by LBVMS Concessions. So drive your transporter...not the Dodge!!!

March 18, 2012 - Hot VW's Drag Day Irwindale, CA

Starting off the VW racing season on the West Coast, the gates open at 7am for the Hot VWs Drag Day and all VW car show and swap meet at the Toyota Speedway in Irwindale, CA. On the 1/8 mile Drag Strip see the world’s fastest Volkswagens in OUTLAW-TURBO/VW and SUPER-STOCK/VW . . . and the fastest women in VWs in POWDER-PUFF, as well as special brackets for Busses, water-pumpers and one for 36hp based cars. The car show is hosted by DHK, Foreign Fantasy and German Folks. Car show entry is free with spectator admission. Swap spots are also free with spectator admission to private parties selling used VW related items. All dealers and potential sponsors need to check in with the office. Spectators $20, kids under 12 free, drag race entry $45 car and driver. Toyota Speedway is located at 500 Speedway Drive, Irwindale, CA. General Info:
Meet us in the Middle for a gathering of VW enthusiasts from Southern and Central California. The location is beautiful Nojoqui Falls Park in Santa Barbara County. It is near the Danish style city of Solvang. Take the short hike up the trail to the falls that are usually flowing nicely this time of year.
There is no charge to get in.

Raffle:
We are still working on the details for this. As usual we will also have our big roll around tool chest and other cool stuff.
Help us out and bring something to raffle. It doesn't matter how small it is, we will package together items to make a good prize. Any non VW prizes would be great also. Just bring to the BBQ whatever you have to donate. Or mail to Brian O'Kelly, 2014 Kleck Rd, Paso Robles, CA 93446

Awards:
Now's your chance to get back at all those event organizers who never get it right Wink. Bring your own award, serious, funny, or just outside the box to give to whoever you think is deserving. You can announce it yourself or we will do it according you your instructions!

If you bring an award come by the BBQ and get a notice to put on the car so they show up to the awards/raffle.

This is a fun alternative to the usual show awards. Be creative and have some fun!

BBQ:
We will have a huge group BBQ fired up so all you have to do is bring your favorite BBQ to throw on the grill.
Burger, Chips and a Drink will also be available for $5.

Stealth Swap:
Official swapping is not allowed in the park (no tables or parts on the ground)
However...You can bring stuff to sell or trade, but it must be low profile, in your car would be the way to go.

April 22, 2012 - Kelley Park Spring Meet
San Jose, California

The Golden Gate Chapter of the Vintage Volkswagen Club of America will be
hosting their 28th Annual Spring Meet at History San Jose at Kelley Park in San
Jose on Sunday, April 22 from 8 am to 3 pm. All air-cooled VWs are welcome.

All cars entering the park MUST register for the car show and MUST park in their respective class. We will again be providing pre-registration this year so visit our website at http://www.ggcvvwca.org.

Please note there is NO alcohol, NO pets, and NO BBQs are allowed inside the park. These are park rules and must be obeyed.

The Quality Inn, located in Morgan Hill, will be the host hotel and security will be provided. For reservations please call 888-434-1444 or call the hotel directly at 408-779-0447.

A RESERVATION-ONLY dinner will be held Saturday night, April 21 at 7pm at
Mama Mia's Italian Restaurant in Morgan Hill and will be limited to 60

Please join the New Old Stock VW Club on the grass and under the trees for our 18th edition of VW Spring Fling. Show your VW (air or watercooled) or swap your VW parts (20' x 20' space). VW entry is $15 including driver and passenger .
VW swap space is $20 per space including driver and passenger. $250 cash Sebring West Stock Best of Show award. $250 cash Eyeball Engineering Custom Best of Show award. 22 stock and custom classes. Spectator entry is a can of food for the Poverello House to feed the homeless. Free parking for spectators. Camping on Saturday night is $30 without hook up or $35 with hook up. The Super 8 Motel across the street is also available (559) 661-1131. Please no alcohol, loud stereos, skateboards, bikes or dogs per the Madera Fairgrounds for the show or camping the night before. VW JAMBOREE KICKS OFF 2012 WITH BEACH CRUISERS

VW Jamboree Beach Cruisers Edition will take place on Saturday June 23rd at Sea Terrace Park in Dana Point, CA. The venue is an all grass and beautifully manicured facility that joins the St. Regis Hotel and overlooks Salt Creek Beach and the Pacific Ocean. There is no finer piece of real estate in Southern California. VW Jamboree will occupy the largest and dedicated area to VW's within the Beach Cruisers event that will also feature dedicated sections for woodys, surf wagons and custom rods in one big celebration of the surf autolife culture. You can expect to see all the traditional things you would see at Jamboree such as great food vendors, kids area, live stage entertainment and so much more. This event is free to spectators.
